Welcome to one of the country’s oldest and most established Emergency Medicine Residency programs in the country.

An education as diverse as your city.

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is the largest and most diverse university in the city, engaging citizens from each surrounding neighborhood and community that comprise the state we serve.

Likewise, our residency program has a unique educational model: our residents rotate between four primary hospitals and two ancillary hospitals that serve as sites for additional electives. Each hospital site carries a specific mission and serves a distinct patient population. This composite gives our residents the optimal set of circumstances to gain a considerable range of clinical and social experiences, exceedingly integral components to training emergency medicine physicians.

Our residents rotate at four hospital sites.
