A Diverse and Accomplished Team
Our core faculty team includes 24 full-time, board-certified emergency medicine physicians who bring a wide range of experiences and expertise to the program. Their work is supported by extramural grant funding and reflects a strong commitment to advancing emergency care through research, education, and clinical excellence.
We are proud to be shaped by the diverse perspectives and mentorship of faculty from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in medicine and the LGBTQ community. Many of our faculty also hold leadership roles within the University of Illinois College of Medicine and UI Health, contributing meaningfully to the broader health sciences campus.
We are all part of the largest public medical school in the country, working together to train the next generation of emergency physicians in one of the nation’s most vibrant city-centered medical centers.
