Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (IMMC) is a 551-bed teaching and referral hospital located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. As part of Advocate Health—the largest health system in Illinois and one of the largest nonprofit integrated systems in the U.S.—IMMC is recognized for clinical excellence and community-focused care. It holds top-tier designations, including Level I Trauma Center status, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) certification.
The Emergency Department manages approximately 45,000 visits per year, delivering comprehensive urban emergency care and serving as one of Chicago’s four EMS base stations and a lead disaster hospital. IMMC is also a vital healthcare provider for the LGBTQ+ community, located in the heart of Boystown. It made history as the first hospital in Chicago to open a dedicated HIV/AIDS unit during the height of the AIDS epidemic in the 1990s—a legacy that continues in its culturally competent and inclusive care practices.

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is a leading teaching, research, and tertiary care center located in Park Ridge, Illinois.
