The student will be expected to do at least one call per week in the labor and delivery unit as well as following the high-risk patients in labor. All students will participate in daily attending rounds, as well as in all departmental/divisional lectures and conferences. The student will spend 2 weeks in U/S and two in the HR clinic. The high risk clinic consists of the following sessions: Preterm labor, Diabetic (2), Medical complications of pregnancy (2), Substance Abuse, as well as two additional sessions where a variety of high risk conditions including multiple gestation and pregnancies complicated by fetal anomalies are followed. 20 to 30 patients are scheduled per session.
