How do I apply?
We accept applications through ERAS which opens to applications in July annually.
Do you accept Fellows outside of the Match?
No. We participate in the National Residency Match Program.
How many Fellows do you accept each year?
We take 2 fellows per year on the research track, and between 2 and 4 fellows per year on the clinical track.
How long is your Fellowship?
There is a minimum of three years of training for ABIM Board eligibility. Fellows who join on the research track remain in training for at least one additional year beyond this on the NIH T-32 training grant.
Do you sponsor any visas?
No. While we do consider applicants on the J-1 visa program, we do not currently sponsor H-1B visa applicants.
I just want to do Critical Care. Do you have a critical care fellowship?
No, our Fellowship is solely a combined Pulmonary and Critical Care training program.
How is my application reviewed?
Applications are reviewed by 2 faculty members, and strong candidates are invited for an interview in September or October. We receive approximately 600 applications per year, and invite between 40 and 50 applicants for a visit.
What is the interview process?
The purpose of the interview is to introduce you to our program and get to know you and your interests. Interviews are being conducted via Zoom. First there is introduction to the interviewers followed by a brief series of talks about the program. You will have 3 interviews and time to meet with a fellow(s) to ask any questions directly relating to how they view the fellowship. Please be sure you review our website and take the “tour” of our hospital.
