Interventional Pulmonology Curriculum

The University of Illinois Chicago/Chicago Chest Center offers a 12 month Interventional Pulmonology fellowship is spread across a spectrum of hospitals to allow for exposure to a wide variety of patients, diagnoses, interventions and multiple mentors. Currently, there are six board certified Interventional Pulmonologists and a wide range of related specialists that participate in training.

Interventional pulmonology involves the care patients with both non-malignant and malignant airway, pleural, mediastinal and parenchymal lung diseases. Accredited training programs in interventional pulmonology must provide a broad exposure to patients suffering from both malignant and non-malignant diseases of the thorax.

Suburban Lung Associates/Chicago Chest Center and the hospitals in which they are currently associated: Ascension Alexian Brothers, Ascension St. Alexius, Endeavor Health-Northwest Community Hospital.
