Residency Application Details

Our three-year ACGME-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited program includes formal didactics, conferences, simulation, and clinical rotations. Our goal is to train emergency physicians who will excel in every environment, and we do this by providing significant exposure to different patient populations and demographics.

We accept applications for residency positions through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The application deadline is October 21, with interview invitations typically extended in early November.

Application checklist

  • Official medical school transcripts

  • Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations (Must have scores from the USMLE  Step 2 exam)

  •  MSPE (Medical Student Performance Evaluation)

  •  At least three letters of recommendation, with one being SLOE (OSLOE preferred, but we will accept a letter of recommendation in its place)

  •  Current CV/Resume

  • Personal Statement

*Due to university policy, we cannot take H1-B or J-1 visa students into the residency program.

Selected candidates will be invited to interview virtually. We conduct interviews on Thursdays beginning in early November through January.

Appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). All candidates must register through the NRMP. To register, go to: National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Review Process

We do not use one single data point to evaluate our applicants; applications are holistically evaluated and reviewed on ability, aptitude, academic credentials, and extra-curricular undertakings.
