At the University of Illinois Pediatric Residency Program, we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all residents, faculty, and patients. We recognize that diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enriches our learning community and enhances our ability to provide compassionate and culturally competent care to the children and families we serve. Our mission is that every resident feels valued and empowered in their journey to becoming a compassionate and culturally competent pediatrician.
We take great pride in the commitment of our faculty and residents to enhance inclusion, advance diversity in the medical workforce, and tackle structural racism and systemic inequities in healthcare.
We are proud to highlight some of the impactful work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) that our residents and faculty have led at the University.
