How to Apply to Hematology and Oncology Fellowship

Our program only accepts applications through the ERAS website. If you plan to apply for one of our four 2027- 2028 positions, applications will be available through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), as early as July 2026. Candidates will begin to receive notification for interviews as early as August 2026.

While we preferentially may consider applications from those who signal our program, we also will consider applicants who do not signal us.
ERAS signals are preferred over email communication to express genuine interest in a fellowship program.

A complete ERAS file should include the following:

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. Three Letters of Recommendation
  3. Dean’s Letter
  4. Curriculum Vitae
  5. Personal Statement addressing your interests in hematology and oncology as well as your future plans.
  6. Medical School Transcript
  7. USMLE Scores
  8. ECFMG Scores (if applicable)
  9. Illinois license (if applicable)
  10. Copy of J visa (if applicable)
