About

Dr. Molly Hartrich is an emergency physician and ultrasound educator whose work focuses on developing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) curricula, promoting procedural safety, and implementing systems-based approaches to teaching clinical decision-making. Dr. Hartrich serves as Assistant Director of the Residency Program and oversees ultrasound education for the UIC Emergency Medicine Residency. She is also the Assistant Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship, where she leads training for residents, fellows, faculty, and interprofessional learners throughout UIC’s four-site consortium.

Her academic interests include ultrasound-guided procedural instruction, resident wellness and apprenticeship-based professional identity formation, trauma and violence prevention, and global health equity.
