Brian R. Boulay, MD, MPH Interim Chief, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Brian Boulay, MD MPH was appointed Interim Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in September 2019. Dr. Boulay is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, and joined the UIC faculty as a therapeutic endoscopist in 2010. He has served as Director of GI Endoscopy for the past five years. Dr. Boulay’s clinical interest is in therapeutic endoscopy, including treatment of pancreaticobiliary disease (including pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer). His research interests include the use of stents for treating obstruction of the bile ducts due to cancer, as well as quality improvement in the field of endoscopy.
