Teena Purohit, LCSW, is the current Director of Clinical Operations for CHECK. Ms. Purohit is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing behavioral health services to children and adults. She has a special interest in trauma – informed care and is trained in Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Prior to her work with CHECK, Ms. Purohit worked as a therapist in community mental health settings including outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and school-based health centers. Ms. Purohit joined the CHECK Behavioral Health Team in 2017 as a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator and returned to CHECK in 2021 in her current role. As Director of Clinical Operations, Ms. Purohit is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, execution, and administration of CHECK.
