Mohannad Mannaa, MD, is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the section of Pulmonary, Allergy and Sleep Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Illinois College of Medicine- Chicago.
Dr. Mannaa is a pediatric pulmonary and a pediatric sleep medicine specialist who is experienced in areas that include pulmonary, sleep medicine, program establishment and medical education. He has a track record of leadership and program development ranging from asthma, sickle cell, sleep, home ventilator, neuromuscular and trisomy.
Dr Mannaa scholarly activities include peer-reviewed articles, invited publications, and invited presentations at both local and national platforms, including presenting and co-chairing sessions for the Associated Professional Sleep Society’s national sleep conference and serving as a Pediatric Chest Medicine member.
Dr. Mannaa joined us from Washington University in St. Louis where he was a professor of pediatrics, allergy, immunology and pulmonary. At the same institution, he also served as the director of the Pediatric Sleep Center.
Dr. Mannaa received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Jordan University of Science & Technology in Irbid, Jordan. He subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s of Seton Hall University in Paterson, N.J. He also completed a fellowship in pediatrics pulmonary medicine and pediatric sleep medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital of the University of Cincinnati, OH.
Dr. Mannaa is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine.
