Rotation Projects

Project#1: We are interested in understanding role played by ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) in health and disease. We have considerable expertise to undertake the investigations of UPS at the molecular level, as exemplified by our studies on FBXL2, a membrane bound ubiquitin ligase which promotes tumor growth, and also virus replication.

Project#2: Prenylation is a lipid modification of substrate proteins carried out by prenyltransferases. We have recently discovered a new human prenyltransfersae that we named GGTase3. We are interested in comprehensive understanding of GGtase3 function using both cell genetic and animal models.
