GEMS Research Symposium
This event serves as an opportunity for GEMS (Graduate Education in bioMedical Sciences) and other College of Medicine graduate students to share their research with each other and with faculty from all over UIC. Students from GEMS, MSTP (Medical Scientist Training Program), GPN (Graduate Program in Neuroscience), and undergraduate researchers have submitted abstracts that demonstrate the breadth and variety of exemplary research conducted here at UIC.
The 8th annual GEMS Research Symposium will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 in Thompson Rooms A,B & C at Student Center West.
We are honored to host Dr. Kunal Rai as our keynote speaker. Dr. Rai is an Associate Professor of Genomic Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Scientific Director of the MDACC Epigenomics Therapy Initiative. His extensive research experience has significantly contributed to our understanding of epigenetic processes in various cancers.
