The Division of Interventional Radiology consists of 6 full-time IR faculty who are committed to excellence in patient care, medical student and resident education, and clinical/translational IR research.
Our Mission
To provide excellence in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology training in order to develop the next generation of physicians by creating a culture of patient advocacy, education and scholarship, and physician leadership which allows our trainees the opportunity to excel within, and advance the field of Interventional Radiology at community, regional, and national levels.
Our Goals
Create excellent clinicians
Train astute clinicians who are confident and capable in their ability to compassionately and respectfully manage patients before and after procedures, in addition to technical excellence.
Create problem solvers
Provide the educational framework to graduate residents who are adaptable, versatile, and skilled, able to master new procedures and adopt new technologies after formal training has ended
Create a culture of lifelong learning and scholastic proficiency
Cultivate and sustain resident curiosity and learning by developing academic core competencies, supporting scientific literacy, and engaging research interests.
