Research Interest: Investigates the pathophysiologic basis and treatment of ischemic retinal injury that leads to visual loss.
Ongoing Research: Current investigations include the development of techniques to suppress retinal ischemic injury by improving oxygenation, and using vitreoperfusion to deliver glucose, oxygen, and drugs.
Impact: These investigations promise to yield innovative treatments of retinal ichemic diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusions.
