Residency Application Details

Our three-year ACGME-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited program includes formal didactics, conferences, simulations, and clinical rotations. Our goal is to train emergency physicians who will excel in every environment, and we do this by providing significant exposure to different patient populations and demographics.

  • Step 1: The Application

    Application Checklist

    • Official medical school transcripts
    • Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations (Must have scores from the USMLE Step 2 exam or the COMLEX Level 2 exam)
    • MSPE (Medical Student Performance Evaluation)
    • We require a minimum of one eSLOE
    • Current CV/Resume
    • Personal Statement
    • Completed ERAS Application

    *Due to university policy, we cannot take H1-B or J-1 visa students into the residency program.

  • Step2: The Interview

    Selected candidates will be invited to interview virtually. We conduct interviews on Thursdays beginning in early November through January.

  • Step 3: The Match

    Appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). All candidates must register through the NRMP.

We do not evaluate our applicants using one data point; applications are holistically evaluated and reviewed based on ability, aptitude, academic credentials, and extracurricular undertakings.

Our program adheres to the unified release date, coordinating the release of information and announcements per the established timeline.
