Body Imaging Fellowship
Overview Heading link
The UIC body imaging fellowship is a non-ACGME accredited one-year fellowship available to ABR-certified or ABR-eligible radiologists. We accept one fellow per year.
Our goal is to train body imaging radiologists to become invaluable consultants for careers in either private or academic settings. Fellows will obtain exposure to extensive pathology and high-volume cases in body and musculoskeletal MRI, body CT, and ultrasound.
We perform various specialized studies, including prostate MRI, CT colonography, rectal cancer imaging, inflammatory bowel disease imaging, transplant imaging, gynecologic-oncology imaging, MRI and US elastography, and MRI dynamic pelvic floor imaging.
Elective time is available and can be used for research, QI projects, or arranged in other areas such as breast imaging and informatics.
Teaching duties of the fellow include participating and presenting cases during the weekly interdisciplinary tumor boards and giving didactic lectures to the residents.
