About

Dr. Shah's clinical interests include developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disability, and learning disorders. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology from University of Michigan in 1998. Prior to receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2003, she spent one year in Copenhagen, Denmark conducting neurobiology research. She completed her pediatric internship at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and her pediatric residency at Lurie's Children's Hospital in 2006. She then worked as a general pediatrician in Chicago for three years. She completed her fellowship training at the University of Chicago in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in 2012 where her research focused on examining pediatricians' experiences with special education as well as monitoring developmental outcomes in children with monogenic diabetes.
