About

Dr. Andrew Kreppel, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, was previously a medical officer in the US Air Force. Dr. Kreppel served as chief resident at the Children's Medical Center of Dayton, OH. He earned his Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Global Health and then received subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. His clinical interests include pediatric hospital medicine and pediatric infectious disease consultation. The main academic interests of Dr. Kreppel involve understanding data so that they can be used appropriately to improve healthcare systems and patient outcomes. He employs quality improvement techniques to test small changes so that measureable effects can be obtained at the patient and population levels. His efforts are focused mainly on infection prevention and patient safety. His research is focused on System-based Healthcare Quality Improvement. His clinical expertise is in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. In addition to English, Dr. Kreppel speaks some Spanish.
