About
Kelsie Avants, DO is Program Director of the Pediatrics residency program and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed her residency training at UIC and then served as Chief Resident for the Pediatrics residency program. She supervises residents in the pediatrics and Internal Medicine clinics and the Newborn Nursery. She enjoys working with medical students as a clinical supervisor and in an advising role. In addition to medical education, Dr. Avants has clinical interests in primary care for patients of all ages, preventative health, and mental health. Dr. Avants research interests include medical education.
