Current Extracurriculars/Research: QI project to improve inpatient influenza vaccine administration on our peds floor, QI project on improving resident chalk talk education on pediatrics. Also I volunteer with the Mobile Migrant Health Team and am involved in the College of Medicine Mentor's Program.
Hobbies: Reading, going on long walks, game nights with my friends, exploring new restaurants / events in Chicago with my husband Lucas, cuddling with my cat Nellie!
Other Interesting Facts: I'm currently pregnant and due in November! 🙂
What I Love About UIC: I chose to stay here at UIC because as a med student I saw firsthand that our hospital truly is committed to serving all patients, regardless of their insurance or background. As a safety net hospital, you get the opportunity to work with vulnerable patient populations who have unique challenges. The people who choose to work here are THE BEST, and, as an added plus, you get to live in the best city in the world!
