Trupti earned her B.S. at Benedictine University in 2019. Advised by Dr. Lisa Waidner, Trupti defended her M.S. thesis at the University of West Florida, where she investigated the ecology
of waterborne Vibrio in local waterbodies. She is now a GEMS Ph.D. student in the Kazlauskas Lab, where she is investigating the mechanism by which the endothelium within the retinal vasculature acquires resilience to hyperglycemia-driven damage and thereby delays the onset of diabetic retinopathy.
