About
Hanieh Niktinat is a medical graduate from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She started doing research on vitreoretinal diseases, thyroid ophthalmopathy, and ocular neuropathic pain from 2018 to 2024 at Farabi Eye Research Institute. She moved to the U.S. to gain more experience in the basic science aspects of ophthalmology. Currently, she works as a Research Associate at Dr. Jalilian's lab. Her main research focus is understanding the role of EVs in corneal nerve regeneration, particularly their impact on cellular signaling and communication. Ophthalmology is her passion.
