About
The aim of Dr. Grassi’s research program is to use genomics in a multi-faceted and interdisciplinary, systems-oriented approach to understand the molecular basis of common blinding retinal conditions, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa. He has funding from the NIH for a project, “Genomic and Genetic Studies of Diabetic Retinopathy,” as well as substantial private foundation support for his research. He joined the department in 2010.
