Biographical Info:
Dr. Samuel Wainwright is a general internist and pediatrician, and health services researcher, at UI Health. Dr. Wainwright sees adults and children in outpatient clinics, and cares for adults in the hospital setting. He focuses on generation-spanning care that supports patients across life’s transitions (teen-to-adult, adult-to-parent, hospital-to-home). His research focuses on examining the value of longitudinal care across generations and life-transitions (pediatric-to-adult, parent-to-child). He is particularly focused on building support for new dads as they seek the best possible health for themselves and their families. He completed the Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital combined residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics, where he also served as the Chief Resident for the MGH med-peds program for 2020-2021. He subsequently completed returned to UIC to complete the CLASS Fellowship in Health Services Research from 2021-2023. He is proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.
