Biographical Info:
Dr. Stefan Tchernodrinski practices in the Division of Internal Medicine at UI Health. Dr. Tchernodrinski specializes in general internal medicine, hospital medicine, and point-of-care ultrasound for decision-making and procedures. His clinical focus is on treating medical inpatients.
Dr. Tchernodrinski started using ultrasound in 1997 in Bulgaria and continued using it in the U.S. for procedures and diagnostics, and later went on to complete a formal fellowship in ultrasound at Cook County Hospital from 2013-2015. He also taught POCUS to the medicine residents and faculty while at Cook County and continued at UIC as well. Dr. Tchernodrinski is currently the director of the POCUS Internal Medicine Fellowship, Medicine Procedure Service, and POCUS resident elective. He is also Faculty Leader for the UIC College of Medicine Ultrasound Curriculum for medical students.
