About
Mr. Suarez is in his second year of medical school. He received a Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. His mentor is Waddah Alrefai, MD and he completed work on his research project, “Potential roles of s-acylation in the pathophysiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)” in 2024. He continues to work alongside his mentor and has a few manuscripts in development.
