Clinical Interest:
Upper GI pathology, Motility, Nutrition, Interventional GI
Career Path:
I plan to become a general gastroenterologist with a focus on quality improvement, healthcare delivery and efficacy within the GI field. Long term, I’d plan to become a thought leader in GI implementation science and quality, both systemwide and nationally.
Why did you choose UIC for fellowship:
The immediate hands-on approach to learning both endoscopy and clinical GI was appealing to me as I learn best by doing. There is always someone to ask for guidance but we are also allowed in most situations to take the lead. Additionally, I went to UIC for undergrad, med school and my MBA and so it felt comfortable to come back here. Finally, I am originally from the Chicagoland area and my family (and wife’s family) all live nearby.
