About

Dr. Garcia-Bedoya is an internal medicine specialist. She specializes in adult medicine, particularly in diabetes, hypertension, and chronic disease management. as well as women's preventive health. She also serves as the Medical Director for the Institute for Minority Health Research (IMHR) at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she oversees standardized clinical examinations and biospecimen collection for large-scale National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research projects - Hispanic Community Health Study/ Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) and the All of Us Research Program (Precision Medicine Initiative).
