Biographical Info:
Dr. Shane Borkowsky is an Associate Chief Health Information Officer at UI Health. Dr. Borkowsky specializes in internal medicine, and her clinical interests include providing general medical care to adult patients, including chronic disease management and health maintenance. She is interested in post-hospital outreach, currently with COVID patients, as well as in advancing patient portal use for improved care. Dr. Borkowsky participates in hospital committees to improve safety for staff and patients.
Research Projects:
ACCOuNT Consortium on Pharmacogenomics: study involves working on incorporating African American-specific genetic secquence variations into clinical recommendations at the point of care.
