D&I in CHI Summer Internship Accepting Applications Through February 15th

CDIS Team

The Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science in Health Disparities (CDIS) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (LCH/NU) are pleased to announce the 2025 Dissemination & Implementation Science Summer Program in Chicago (D&I in CHI).

D&I in CHI will offer a diverse group of undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students’ equitable access to early research opportunities in D&I science. D&I in CHI will provide formal structured foundational learning, one-on-one mentoring, hands-on research experience, and networking opportunities in D&I science to trainees across the country. Central components of D&I in CHI include 1) Mentored D&I Research: Interns will work with leading researchers on NIH-funded projects at UIC/CDIS and LCH/NU. 2) Interactive Educational Sessions: Weekly workshops on D&I science, professional development, and research ethics. 3) Networking Opportunities: Connect with leading implementation science faculty across two institutions. 4) Share Your Work: Present on what you accomplished during the internship at its conclusion to all faculty and interns.

The internship will run from May 27, 2025, to August 1, 2025. While we have applied for federal funding to provide paid internships, we will not know if stipends can be offered until the spring of 2025.
