About
Riley Hunt earned a Master of Public Health in Global Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in December 2023. Her thesis, “Barriers to Participation in Global Health Programs Amongst HUGS,” was supervised by Dr. Monique Hennink. Prior to her MPH, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Georgia in May 2021.
Riley has gained extensive research experience at Emory University. Since January 2022, she has been a Research Assistant at the Emory University School of Medicine, where she has worked on various projects involving qualitative and quantitative data analysis, particularly in integrating HIV care in primary care clinics. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Rollins School of Public Health, leading qualitative analysis projects focused on increasing minority inclusion and retention in global health training programs.
Riley has been recognized for her commitment to public health and community service. She was a recipient of the Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL) Program merit-based work-study. In March 2016, she also earned the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award for her community-based project aimed at preventing animal shelter returns through educational seminars for young children. She is a member of the Emory Reproductive Health Association, which promotes reproductive health and rights awareness through community engagement.
