Dr. Kotini-Shah Receives the Max Harry Weil Early Career Award

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Pavitra Kotini-Shah, Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, has received national recognition as the recipient of the Max Harry Weil Early Career Award at the 2024 Annual American Heart Association Resuscitation Science Symposium.

This prestigious award honors the memory of Max Harry Weil, MD, PhD, widely regarded as the “father of critical care medicine” and a pioneer in Cardiopulmonary, Critical Care, Perioperative and Resuscitation (3CPR) science.

Dr. Kotini-Shah was recognized for her exceptional research on sex hormone trajectories and their association with outcomes after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Her innovative work sheds light on critical biological factors influencing resuscitation outcomes, offering new avenues for personalized and effective treatments.
