Sara Diaz, MD
Resident – Family Medicine University of Illinois College of MedicineFamily Medicine ResidencyBiographical Info
I was born and raised in Florida and have lived in a few cities finding my way into medicine. I was a Spanish major at College of Charleston in South Carolina, and then I studied abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico and loved it, so I ended up going back for four years after college. I studied nutrition and did research on the Mexican diet past and present. I also met my husband there and we got married in Leon. Then, I realized I wanted to have a greater scope of practice so we moved to Chicago so I could study medicine. Now, I am very glad to be done with medical school, and so excited to start residency and take care of my own patients!
For fun, you can find me walking around Chicago, especially by the lake!
