About
I grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo, NY and then ventured to Cleveland OH to study Cognitive Science and Biochemistry in college. From there I decided to take a job in Pittsburgh PA working a research position that involved working in the Medical Examiner’s Office. This job grew my interest in preventative medicine and understanding the health disparities in our community, and I was thrilled to grow these interests and stayed on for medical school. I was drawn to family medicine fairly early on as I wanted to provide comprehensive care for all people. UIC immediately stood out to me for their commitment to caring for underserved populations and addressing health disparities. I am so glad that I joined this program, and have loved my time in Chicago. Outside of medicine I love spending time with my family, doing crossword puzzles/word games, playing with my dog Molly, and visiting breweries with my husband.
