About

Sasha grew up in Chicago, IL just two miles north of UIC. She attended Northwestern University where she studied Anthropology and Global Health. After college, she stayed at Northwestern as research coordinator for the Department of Palliative Medicine during the day and completing her premedical courses through the University’s post-baccalaureate program at night. Her interests in public health and social policy led her to New Orleans where she earned a dual MD/MPH from Tulane University. Training in Louisiana allowed her to participate in the care of some of the most medically underserved communities and develop an appreciation for the role physicians play in helping patients make decisions throughout all stages of life. The ability to be present for these moments is ultimately what led her to choose a career in Family Medicine. When she is not in the hospital, you can find her hanging out with her giant pup Penny, watching documentaries, or cooking something for her family and friends.
