I grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo, NY and then ventured to Cleveland OH for college at Case Western majoring in Cognitive Science and Biochemistry. From there I decided to take a job in Pittsburgh PA working a research position that involved working in the Medical Examiner’s Office. This job grew my interest in preventative medicine, public health and understanding the health disparities in our community, and I was thrilled to stay there for medical school. I was drawn to family medicine fairly early on as I wanted to provide comprehensive care for all people, taking their whole life into account. UIC immediately stood out to me for their commitment to caring for underserved populations and addressing health disparities. I am beyond excited to be joining the residency and to spending 3 years in Chicago! Outside of medicine I love spending time with my family, going on runs, doing crossword puzzles, playing with my dog Molly, and visiting breweries with my husband Kyle.
