While our experiences have been altered by the continued pandemic, Chicago remains a cultural hub with vibrant city life. With our hospital nestled in the Illinois Medical District, residents have quick access to downtown- the Chicago Loop- via public transit, vehicle, and biking (or a brisk 40 minute walk!). There is equally easy access to residential neighborhoods and residents have been known to live anywhere from the heart of Chicago to its cozy suburbs.

The hospital itself is located next to Little Italy where residents will have a bite to eat for happy hour or an early breakfast after a night shift. Being surrounded by a wide range of restaurants and dozens of cuisines means also that night shifts are often paired with orders of bubble tea, empanadas, and samosas.

Beyond the food scene, Chicago has a lot to enjoy both seasonally and year-round. Residents spend downtime at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, immersive art exhibits, bookstores, history and science museums, escape rooms, sports games, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and lakeside beaches. Chicago is home to multiple major league sports teams in football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. Residents also find themselves unwinding at day spas or taking tea at the Drake.

Chicago and its unique neighborhoods hold a lot to discover and we know each resident will find their space in our great city!
