Continuing Medical Education

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, in conjunction with the UIC College of Medicine and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, offers several continuing medical education opportunities.

Purpose

The purpose of this activity is to expose attending physicians in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology to the latest developments in each of the four divisions, as well as the national and international advances in evidence-based medicine.

Intended Audience

Obstetrics and Gynecology Physicians and other interested health professionals

Grand Round Objectives

  1. Identify the indications and contraindications for new modalities in the diagnosis and treatment of OB/GYN conditions presented
  2. Formulate the differential diagnosis on OB/GYN conditions presented at each session
  3. Describe new management and prevention strategies used in OB/GYN for selected medical problems and types of patients
  4. Discuss new developments and/or techniques being used in current scientific research

The University of Illinois College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 credit AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
