American Heart Association Certification Courses
AHA HeartCode Blended course options are available for BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications/renewals.

Format
These courses have two components: an online didactic followed by in-person skills testing. Testing is scheduled upon receipt of ‘Certificate of Completion’ for the online didactic and availability is flexible.
ALL skills testing sessions are held at the UIC Simulation And Integrative Learning Institute: Mile Square Health Center, 1220 South Wood, 5th Floor, Chicago, IL 60608.
Cost
As of March 1, 2023, due to another increase in AHA pricing; course fees, which include the cost of the access key for the online didactic, have been slightly raised. We haven’t raised our prices for HeartCode courses since we first started offering this convenient option over 4 years ago.
BLS – $82.00
ACLS – $307.00
PALS – $307.00
PLEASE NOTE – Your department may be responsible for payment coverage. If you aren’t sure, please reach out to your department business contact regarding payment coverage. If so, please include the business contact information during registration for processing.
Before registering for a course
Before you move forward, please make sure this is not a duplicate registration. Duplicate registrations will result in multiple charges that are NOT REFUNDABLE. To confirm you haven’t previously registered, please check your email for confirmation and instructions sent from sailheartcenter@uic.edu.
Rescheduling
We understand things come up and will accommodate as best we can. Please contact us prior to 2 business days to reschedule. There will be a rescheduling fee for cancellation/rescheduling requests made less than 2 business days prior to your appointment.
Testing availability
For current skills testing availability, follow the instructions in your confirmation email and submit your ‘Certificate of Completion’ for the online course as noted. Once received, you will be provided with current availability to select the best date/time that works for you.
General availability is subject to change without notice, offered 2-3 days per week starting at 8 am with sessions available on the hour every hour until 2 pm.
