About

Dr. Aarti Raghavan is board certified in General Pediatrics and Neonatal Perinatal Medicine, and is one of the select few Neonatologists nationally who holds a Master of Science in Patient Safety Leadership.

Completing her medical education at Sri Ramachandra University (Chennai, India), Dr. Raghavan then conducted her Pediatric Residency at UIC, her Neonatology fellowship training at UIC and University of Pittsburgh, and, most recently, completed her M.S. in Patient Safety Leadership at UIC.

Dr. Raghavan serves as the site lead for the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative and has been invited to present her work both nationally and internationally. Her research interest is in human factors and its impact on patient safety. She has numerous publications to her name and serves on the editorial board of national journals. Dr. Raghavan has led many quality improvement and patient safety projects, while mentoring others in the healthcare system. Having previously served in multiple leadership roles in education, Dr. Raghavan has significant experience in teaching and mentorship.
