Scheduling Forms and Instructions

Instructions for Scheduling Electives Heading link

  • Students should review the Elective Catalog and contact the respective elective coordinator or program director for approval to add or drop their elective.
  • ALL requests to add, drop, or change a scheduled clinical experience/elective must be made at least four weeks prior to start date.
  • If you are still having trouble understanding the scheduling process, please see this flow chart.
  • Please note that approval to drop ELEC362: Advanced (Career) Emergency Medicine requires eight weeks of advance notice.

Phase Two (M3) Clerkship Specific Instructions Heading link

  • Core Clerkship scheduling is determined by a lottery.
    • There are two stages to the lottery: Stage 1 – Track Assignment and Stage 2 – Site Assignment
  • Requests to switch sites due to transportation issues or site preference will not be granted.
  • Once the lottery has ended, students looking to switch a clinical site can reach out to classmates to request a body to body switch.
