Biosketch:
I am a fifth generation Montanan and the first in my family to get a doctorate degree. I have wanted to be a physician since I was a child. Despite growing up in Montana (a rural state by most people’s standards), I have long been drawn to the culture, food, energy, and diversity of urban settings. While completing part of my medical education in Seattle, WA, my passion for reproductive health was reinforced by a research project I did on discussing abortion in the primary care setting. Seattle was where I also solidified my love for working with the urban underserved. My other interests include adolescent medicine, mental health, addiction medicine, HIV care, working with
incarcerated populations, LGTBQ medicine, and health equity. With these interests and passions in mind, UIC FMR seemed like a perfect fit!

When I’m not busy with medicine, you’ll find me running, eating tasty food, spending time in the sun, traveling, cuddling with my dogs, or enjoying the arts/music. I am excited to call Chicago my new home!
