About

Lauren Sayah, MPH, is a Senior Research Specialist at the Center for Research on Women and Gender (CRWG). Lauren received a Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health from the George Washington University in 2022 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree from Boston University in 2018. During her time at GW, she worked as a Research Assistant with their Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health. She also worked as the Medication Abortion Research Intern with Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., recruiting for a study examining patients’ experiences with telehealth and medication abortion. Her final project at GW was the design and implementation of a study exploring trends in medication abortion based on variability in States’ abortion policies from the years 2016-2019. Lauren’s research interests include sexual and reproductive health, incorporating a life course perspective, and examining the policies and structures that impact the social determinants of health. Lauren is passionate about ensuring that research centers those most marginalized and securing bodily autonomy for all.
