About

Dr. Rajul Kothari completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University in 2008. Her unwavering dedication to women's health and cancer research led her to pursue a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, where she completed her training in 2011.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Kothari joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) as a faculty member. Over the years, she advanced to the role of Associate Professor and served as the Administrative Director for the Gynecologic Oncology Division from 2011 to 2019. Her leadership and expertise significantly contributed to the division's success during this period.

In 2019, Dr. Kothari transitioned to practice in Northwest Indiana, and since 2022, she has been in private practice in Chicago and River Forest, IL. Her commitment to patient care and her professional accomplishments have continued to shine throughout her career.

Dr. Kothari is well-known for her talent, compassion, and collaborative spirit. Her exceptional teaching abilities and achievements have earned her notable recognition, including the Exceptional Women in Medicine Award and the Golden Apple Award from Mount Sinai Hospital and the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

She has made significant contributions to the field of reproductive system gynecologic cancers through her research and publications, and she has presented numerous abstracts at national meetings. Recently, there has been considerable excitement among Dr. Kothari’s former and current colleagues at UIC about her return to lead the Gynecologic Oncology Division. Her extensive experience and vision are anticipated to drive the division's development and growth in the coming years.
