About
Dr. Laura DiGiovanni is an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. Beginning 2021 she serves as the Associate Head for Perinatal Services. In her new role she is providing leadership in the design and implementation of IDPH’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program as established in partnership with The Collaborative Improvement & Innovation Network (CoIIN) to reduce infant mortality.
Dr. DiGiovanni completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in OBGYN at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship at University of Chicago followed by subspecialty training in Medical Ethics. She joined the department in 2014.
Dr. DiGiovanni is double board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Dr. DiGiovanni provides obstetrical care for high risk pregnancies. She is an expert in advanced ultrasound, fetal diagnosis and the management of pregnancies complicated by high-risk conditions. She has additional expertise in chromosomal abnormalities, genetic conditions and structural fetal anomalies detected during ultrasound.
