Welcome Ms. Tocarra Dantzler, DNP, AGACNP-BC, to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), Division of Gynecology-Oncology (GYN-ONC), at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
We are excited to welcome Ms. Tocarra Dantzler, DNP, AGACNP-BC, to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), Division of Gynecology-Oncology (GYN-ONC), at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)!
Ms. Dantzler has joined our Division of GYN-ONC as the new Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, followed by a Bachelor of Nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing. She further advanced her education by completing both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice at UIC.
With over two decades of experience, Ms. Dantzler has developed a strong clinical foundation, having worked at several respected institutions in Chicago, including St. James Medical Center, Rusk Oak Park Hospital, University of Chicago, and UIC. In her previous UIC roles, she served as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department and the Lead Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Transplant Surgery Service. Her expertise in managing critically ill patients, providing advanced care, and working within interdisciplinary teams will be a tremendous asset to our department and the Division of GYN-ONC.
In her new role, Ms. Dantzler will be a passionate advocate for both patient care and the support of our team, including doctors, residents and nursing staff.
