Please join us for our next "CGH Docuseries in Global Health" Movie night!
Our film will be "Sister", which tells the story of Madam Bwa, who has never been formally trained, yet she's delivered over 12,000 babies. She works in incredibly challenging circumstances, often delivering babies on dirt floors and in crowded conditions, from Ethiopia to Cambodia to Haiti. In this documentary, the difficulties of childbirth are laid bare, and the strategies to improve maternal health and mortality rates in settings with extreme poverty are explored.
